Ilam— Kurdish civil activist Mousa Omidi arrested by IRGC Intelligence, fate unknown

In the continued wave of arrests of Kurds following the announcement of a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, Mousa Omidi, a civil activist from Ilam, has been arrested by the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, IRGC Intelligence forces arrested Omidi during a raid at his family home in Ilam.
Without presenting a court warrant, the forces confiscated several of Omidi’s personal belongings, including his mobile phone, laptop, and books.
Omidi had previously been summoned and interrogated multiple times by security agencies.
