A Kurdish Kolber from Piranshahr, named Farouq Azizi, was seriously injured by direct fire from the Iranian armed forces in the border areas of Piranshahr and was transferred to the medical centers by Kurdistan Region of Iraq’s relief teams.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Thursday, 18 May 2023, Farouq Azizi, a 42-year-old Kolber from Piranshahr, was seriously injured by direct fire from the Iranian government forces in the border areas of "Mergadrej".
According to an informed source, Farouq Azizi was shot in the abdomen by IRGC forces and was transferred to the medical centers by emergency relief units near Haji Omaran border.
This source further stated that Farouq Azizi is expected to be transferred to Erbil following initial measures in Soran medical centers due to the depth of his injuries.
