Farzaneh Zillabi, a lawyer with experience in various cases, including the case of the Haft Tepe sugarcane factory workers, was sentenced to one year and six months in prison by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in Ahwaz.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Farzaneh Zillabi, a lawyer, was recently sentenced to one year in prison by Branch 4 of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in Ahwaz for "propaganda activity against the regime" and to six months in prison for "insulting the supreme leader".
This lawyer had previously faced various other charges during three hearings, including "insulting the supreme leader, membership in anti-regime groups, assembly and collusion to act against national security, propaganda activity against the regime, and spreading mendacity."
Farzaneh Zillabi is currently free on temporary bail until the end of the proceedings and has a history of conviction due to her activities.
In this regard, on Sunday, May 14, 2023, lawyers Mohammad Seifzadeh and Marzieh Nikara were sentenced to one year in prison by Branch 29 of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in Tehran headed by Judge Seyed Ali Mazloum for the charges of "propaganda activity against the system" and "spreading mendacity".
