Two residents of Baneh were sentenced to prison

Rebwar Talbi and Muhammad Sharifpour, both from Baneh, were each sentenced to 15 months of imprisonment. Last year, they were arrested for three months.
 

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 the 101 branch of the Second Criminal Court of Baneh sentenced Rebwar Talbi and Muhammad Sharifpour to 15 months imprisonment and one year's suspended imprisonment for charges of "propaganda against the regime in favor of a Kurdish party".

These two residents of Baneh were released temporarily from Baneh Prison until the end of their trial in October, 2022.

On Thursday, July 21, 2022 Rebwar Talebi and Mohammad Sharifpour were arrested at Saleh Abad quartier in Baneh by forces of the intelligence department and taken to the detention center of Sanandaj's intelligence department.
