Maleeha Hasannejad, the mother of Mohammad Hosseini, one of the victims of the Woman Life Freedom movement, died after being in a coma for seven months

Maleeha Hassannejad, the mother of Mohammad Hosseini, A victim of the recent nationwide protest in Saqqez, died in the hospital after suffering two strokes and falling into a coma for seven months.
 

According to information received by the Hangaw Organization for Human Rights, on Sunday, July 9, 2023, Maliha Hassannejad, the mother of Mohammad Hosseini, suffered a stroke after hearing the news of her son's death and remained in a coma for nearly seven months. She passed away at Rajaie Hospital in Tehran.
 

Shortly after Mohammad Hosseini was killed by Iranian government forces, Hengaw was informed that a female officer of the IRGC's intelligence department had been specifically monitoring Maleeha Hassannejad during the funeral ceremony and inside the house. They had control over her interactions and did not allow her to have conversations with anyone.
 

According to the relatives of the Hosseini family, due to the coercive measures imposed by the Iranian security agencies, which compelled them to maintain silence and obstruct the dissemination of her son's demise to the media, Ms. Maleeha Hassannejad endured a stroke and subsequently lapsed into a coma, ultimately resulting in her demise.
 

On October 12, 2022, during the protests in the Mehr Kohdasht neighborhood, Mohammad Hosseini, while protesting the destruction of citizens' vehicles by the Iranian government forces, tragically had his body run over twice by an anti-riot vehicle, resulting in his instant death.
