A Telegram Channel Admin Arrested For publishing Peyman Galwani’s Mourning ceremony

Kamal Mohammadpour, from Mahabad and a media activist, was detained by government forces after publishing the death of Peyman Galwani, a young man who tragically lost his life under torture by the Intelligence Agency in Urmia.
According to information received by the Hengaw organization for Human Rights, Kamal Mohammadpour, administrator of the Telegram channel "Tar’im Mahabad," was apprehended by intelligence forces in Mahabad on Tuesday, July 11th, 2023.
An informed source has revealed that Kamal Mohammadpour's arrest is directly linked to the publication of the announcement regarding the death of Peyman Galwani, who was deliberately killed by government forces. Furthermore, immediately after the arrest, the pertinent notice was removed from the Telegram channel media.
Notably, Peyman Galwani was arrested in Mahabad on Sunday, June 25th, 2023, and subjected to violent treatment before being transferred to the Urmia Intelligence Agency's detention center. Due to severe injuries resulting from torture, he was subsequently relocated to Khomeini Hospital in Urmia on Wednesday July 5th, 2023.
Tragically, on Sunday evening, July 9th, 2023, Peyman Galwani succumbed to his injuries after several days of hospitalization and being in a coma. His burial, which took place on Monday evening, July 10th, 2023, in Mahabad, was conducted under heightened security measures.
