Iranian authorities arbitrarily detained 14-year-old Mohsen Shaboi in Oshnaviyeh

Mohsen Shaboi, a 14-year-old child resident of Oshnoviyeh, was taken into custody by government forces.
According to the reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mohsen Shaboi, 14 years old, from "Shahwaneh" (Shawane) village and residing in Oshnoviyeh City, was apprehended by Iranian authorities on Friday, July 14, 2023. His whereabouts remain unknown.
Mohsen Shaboi is the nephew of Siamand Shaboi, a political activist and former member of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan. Tragically, Siamand Shaboi was assassinated by Iranian government forces in Hewlêr (Erbil), the Capital of the Kurdistan Region in Iraq, on Tuesday, July 11th, 2023.
Previously, Komar Shaboi, a 14-year-old son of Siamand Shaboi, and two other brothers of Siamand Shaboi, including Mohsen's father, Hossein Shaboi, were also apprehended by government forces in Oshnoviyeh.
At the time of this reporting, detailed information regarding the grounds for Mohsen Shaboi's arrest, the conditions under which he is being held, and his current whereabouts remains unknown.
