Reyhane Ansarinejad, a retired labor activist, has been sentenced by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran to four years in prison. Additionally, she has been issued a two-year ban on membership in political groups and organizations, as well as engaging in activities on social media.
 

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization For Human Rights, Recently, labor activist Reyhane Ansarinejad was sentenced to four years in prison and a two-year ban on membership in political groups and organizations, as well as activities on social media. This verdict was issued by Branch 15 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, with Judge Salavati presiding. The charges brought against her were "plotting and conspiracy against the security of the country."
 

According to Razieh Zaydi, the lawyer representing this labor activist, her verdict on the charge of "plotting and conspiracy with the intention of acting against the security of the country" was based on a report registered by the Intelligence Ministry and not issued according to the indictment.
 

Reyhane Ansarinejad was arrested on Friday, April 28 of this year, by Iranian government forces, just before International Labor Day. However, on Monday, May 8th, she was temporarily released on bail until the conclusion of the proceedings.
