Shahab Nazari, a resident of Izeh, who was detained in May of this year, has been sentenced to three years in prison by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
 

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Recently, Shahab Nazari, a 23-year-old resident of Izeh, was sentenced by the first branch of Ahvaz Revolutionary Court to two years in prison for the charge of "insulting the supreme leader of Iran" and an additional one year in prison for the charge of "propaganda against the regime," resulting in a total of three years of imprisonment.
 

In accordance with the Consolidation of Sentences Law, the severe punishment of two years of imprisonment will be applicable to Shahab Nazari.
 

Additionally, an indictment concerning another part of the Shahab Nazari case, titled "spreading false news," has been issued to the Ahvaz Criminal Court.
 

Shahab Nazari was arrested by Iranian government forces in Ahvaz on April 22, 2023. Subsequently, on May 21, he was granted temporary release from Central Prison in Ahvaz after posting bail amounting to 500 million tomans.
