Latest Communication from Saman Yasin: Detained rapper Reports Critical Complications following an Unidentified Injection he received in Prison

Saman Yasin, a detained rapper and songwriter from Kermanshah (Kermashan), has recently conveyed his distressing situation resulting from an administration of an unknown injection at Aminabad Psychiatric Center. The update was delivered through a message obtained by Hengaw, shedding light on the dire state he has been enduring during his tenth month of detention at Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj.
 

As per a report received by the Hengaw organization for Human Rights, on Friday the 28th of July, 2023, the 27-year-old rapper and a song writer Saman Yasin disclosed the ordeal of drug-induced torture he experienced during his transfer from prison to Aminabad Psychiatric Center. Alleging that he was coerced into confessing through forced drug injections, he strongly denies any suicidal tendencies and attributes any harm inflicted upon him to Salvati, the chief judge of his case.
 

In the message, Saman Yasin reiterate being transferred from prison to Aminabad Psychiatric Center on Saturday, July 22, 2023, where he underwent a forceful injection of an unidentified medication. Subsequently, he remained unconscious for more than 24 hours and, upon regaining consciousness, found himself restrained to a hospital bed. He mentioned experiencing vision problems for two days, with a device attached to his head during the process.
 

Emphasizing the urgency of receiving comprehensive medical treatment outside of the prison, Saman Yasin asserted the need to be examined by an independent medical expert to assess the extent of the harm caused to him.
 

On Tuesday July 25th, 2023, the young artist was returned to Rajai Shahr Prison, where he speculated about a possible transfer to Qezelhesar Prison. He also mentioned his upcoming court session scheduled for September 9th of this year, during which he anticipates not having access to his lawyer.
 

Throughout his message, Saman Yasin maintained that he was in good health prior to his arrest and held "Judge Salavati and other officials" responsible for his well-being while incarcerated.
 

Saman Yasin, also known as Saman Seyedi, is a well known songwriter, composer, and rapper from Kermanshah, residing in Tehran. He was arrested at his residence on Sunday, October 2nd, 2022, on grounds of supporting protests, following which he was transferred to Rajai Shahr Prison after interrogation. 

Despite initially receiving a death sentence by the Tehran General and Revolutionary Court on the 29th of October, 2022, for "enmity against God," the Supreme Court  overturned the verdict, leading to his case being referred back to the branch for retrial.
