Waran Mohammad Nejad, a graduate student from Sanandaj who was arrested during the revolutionary movement of "Jin, Jian, Azadi," has been sentenced to imprisonment by the Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj. She is an active member of the Nojin NGO, a cultural-social association in Sanandaj.
 

According to a report received by the Hengaw organization for Human Rights, Waran Mohammadnejad has recently been sentenced to one year of suspended imprisonment by Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court in Sanandaj, presided over by Judge Saeidi.

The exact charges against Waran Mohammadnejad have not been made available at this time.
 

Previously, three members of Waran’s family, including her husband Peyman Miri, her mother Sahar Vahabi, and her sister Vida Mohammadnejad, were temporarily detained on Sunday, October 16, 2022, while following up on her custodial status in front of the Intelligence Detention Center of the IRGC (Shahramfar) for a while.
 

During the two detention periods of Waran, Hengaw reported that the above graduate student, to protest the unlawful detention and the way she was treated during the arrest, had gone on hunger strike.
 

Waran Mohammad Nejad, a graduate student of master of fine Art at Yazd University, was arrested on October 13th, 2022, at the bus station while on her way back to Yazd by the forces of the IRGC's intelligence department, and later on November 1st, 2022, she was released on bail while waiting for trial.
