The arrest of two citizens in Nowshahr by government forces

Mehdi Seifi and Meisam Gholami, two political activists from Nowshahr, Mazandaran province, were arrested by government forces and taken to an unknown location.
 

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mehdi Seifi and Meisam Gholami, two political activists from Nowshahr, were arrested on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, by the forces of the Intelligence Department.
 

These two citizens were previously arrested by the government forces in 2020, Mehdi Seifi was released after one month in prison and Meisam Gholami was released after one year of imprisonment.
 

It should be mentioned that Meisam Gholami was detained by government forces for a while during the Jin, Jian, Azadi movement in 2022 and then released after posting bail.
 

Until writing this news, there is no information about the charges against Mehdi Seifi and Meisam Gholami and the conditions and place of arrest of the citizens.
