Mehdi Ghiasi, a Kurdish citizen from Ilam who had previously been detained, has been sentenced to six months in prison and fined by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
 

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization For Human Rights, Mehdi Ghiasi, aged 31 and hailing from Ilam, has recently been sentenced to six months in prison and fined 100 million tomans by the Revolutionary Court of Ilam.
 

According to reliable sources, the court hearing for Mehdi Ghiasi's case had previously taken place, with charges including "propaganda against the regime" and "insulting the Supreme Leader of Iran" being levied.
 

The aforementioned source further indicated that Mehdi Ghiasi's personal Instagram page has been entirely blocked and rendered inaccessible by the Ministry of Intelligence of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
 

Also, Mehdi Ghiasi was apprehended on Saturday, May 6, 2023, by Intelligence Department personnel. Subsequently, after three days, he was granted temporary release from Ilam prison upon posting bail of 500 million tomans, pending the conclusion of the legal proceedings.
