270 days have passed since the abduction of Osman Mameh, a citizen of Bukan, by Iranian government forces during the nationwide protests (Jin, Jiyan, Azadî movement), and his current state remains undisclosed.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization For Human Rights, Osman Mameh, a 55-year-old resident of Bukan, has been abducted by Iranian government forces for the past nine months. So far, there has been no information regarding his fate, and the family's attempts to gather information about his situation have been unsuccessful.

A source closely connected to Osman Mameh's family has informed Hengaw that, in their most recent effort to gather information about Osman Mameh's condition, the family reached out to the Police Department. Officials from this department responded to their request by stating, "The feasibility of pursuing this request is highly unlikely, as the file rests within the possession of the Ministry of Intelligence and the Intelligence Department of the IRGC, which could potentially lead to significant consequences."

In the past nine months, Osman Mameh's family has contacted various institutions, including the Police Department, Intelligence Department, IRGC Intelligence, judiciary, and Bukan prisons, yet they have not received any responses.

This family also repeatedly referred to other government institutions in Urmia; however, these institutions denied the abduction of Osman Mameh and sometimes refused to provide details, citing it as a security case.

Up until this moment, Osman Mameh has not had a single phone call with his family. This has increased their worries about severe emotional and mental distress.

It is worth noting that prior to his disappearance, Osman Mameh was employed as a laborer in a poultry breeding facility located in the city of Dukan, within the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

On the evening of Friday, November 18, 2022, Osman Mameh, a resident of Bukan, was apprehended by Iranian government forces as he was returning home. His current whereabouts remain undisclosed, and his fate remains uncertain.

Regarding Article 2 of the Convention on the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance, Hengaw has accused the Iranian government of being involved in the abduction and enforced disappearance of Osman Mameh. Hengaw is requesting a response from the Islamic Republic about these accusations, along with immediate access to legal representation, lawyer services, and healthcare for Osman Mameh and his family.
