Mohammad Moradi, from Sari, who was recently arrested, has been sentenced to six years in prison and additional punishment by the Iranian Judiciary. He was also arrested in the recent nationwide protests (Jin, Jiyan, and Azadi movement).

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mohammad Moradi, a young man from Sari, was sentenced to one year in prison by the first branch of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in this city on the charge of "propaganda activity against the Islamic Republic" and to five years in prison for "inciting people to hold a protest rally".

According to the Consolidation of Sentences Law, the harshest punishment, i.e., five years of imprisonment for Mohammad Moradi, will be applicable.

Also, as a supplementary punishment, this citizen was sentenced to a two-year ban on leaving the country, a ban on employment in the field of "IT", and being on social media. His mobile phones and telecommunications and technical devices will also be confiscated.

On July 5, 2023, Mohammad Moradi was arrested by the IRGC intelligence forces in Sari city, and finally, on July 11, he was released from Tirkola prison after posting a bail of 300 million tomans.

Earlier, he was arrested by the Iranian government forces during the recent nationwide protests (Jin, Jiyan, and Azadi movement) and was released after a month with the issuance of a circular known as "Amnesty"
