The family members of Hanane Kia, one of the victims associated with the Woman, Life, Freedom movement, have been apprehended in the city of Nowshahr by Iranian government institutions. The individuals under arrest include her fiancé, Amir Kia; her sister, Helia Kia, who is under the age of 18; as well as her parents, Masoumeh Azari and Vahid Kia.
 

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization For Human Rights, In the evening of Sunday, August 27, 2023, Vahid Kia, the father, Masoumeh Azari, the mother, Helia Kia, the sister, and Amir Kia, the fiancé of Hanane Kia, were taken into custody in Nowshahr, Mazandaran.
 

As reported by Hengaw sources, Iranian government forces conducted a nighttime raid on the personal residence of Vahid Kia, during which they arrested the individuals by creating an atmosphere of intimidation.
 

In recent days, the pressure on plaintiff families of the victims from last year's nationwide protests has escalated across various cities. Apart from receiving summons and facing threats, a number of these families have also been subjected to arrests.
 

On September 21, 2022, Hananeh Kia, aged 22, tragically lost her life during the popular protests in Nowshahr. She was fatally hit by direct fire from repressive forces, resulting in fatal injuries to her side.
