Farzad Moazami Goodarzi, a resident of Borujerd and a cousin of Reza Moazami Goodarzi, one of the casualties of the November 2019 protests, has been detained by Iranian government forces.

According to reports received by the Hengaw organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, September 5th, 2023, Farzad Moazami Goodarzi, a resident of Borujerd in Lorestan province and a member of the families of the victims of the protests, was detained by government forces.

Informed sources reported that this young  man was arrasted late night, around 11 PM, without any judicial warrant, on the street, while brutally assaulted along with intimidation and excessive force by government authorities of Iran.

In addition the government forces raided Farzad Moazami Goodarzi's family residence, confiscated his personal belongings.

It is worth noting that Farzad Moazami Goodarzi's social media accounts are currently inaccessible, and it is likely that his mobile phone is also in the possession of government authorities.

Reza Moazami Goodarzi, a 19-year-old originally from of Borujerd, residing in Shahriar city in Tehran province, was wounded by direct gunfire from government forces on November 18th, 2019, during the protests and lost his life due to severe bleeding. The body of this young victim was buried in Borujerd.
