Tayfour Salimi Babamiri, a Kurdish citizen from Bukan, has been under brutal torture for the last seven months for a forced confession. His mental and physical health were reported to be critical.
 

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Tayfour Salimi Babamiri, aged 47 and hailing from Bukan, was arrested seven months ago by government forces. During this prolonged period of captivity, his physical and psychological health are in critical condition as a result of relentless torture.
 

According to reliable sources, Tayfour Salimi Babamiri, a father of two, suffered a stroke while in detention, and his tormentors broke his arm, dislocated his shoulder, tore his eardrum, and inflicted severe damage to both of his eyes.
 

It is only recently that Tayfour Salimi Babamiri had brief contact with his family, seven months into his detention, when he was transferred to Urmia prison.
 

He has been charged with providing "treatment and medicine to protestors" during the Jin, Jîyan, Azadî movements by security institutions.
 

In the Urmia Central Prison, Tayfour Salimi Babamiri is transferring to solitary confinement, continuously unduring torture.
 

On February 20, 2023, Tayfour Salimi Babamiri was arrested by the Islamic Republic's government forces in Baneh. After months of relentless torture and interrogation, he was eventually transferred to Urmia Prison, where he remains in precarious health.
