Mansoureh Erfanian, a trade union activist and a teacher residing in Mashhad, has been detained by the authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to reports received by the Hengaw organization for Human Rights, on Saturday, October 7th, 2023, Mansoureh Erfanian, a member of trade union activists and teachers association, was arrested at her residence in the city of Mashhad.
As of the time of this reporting, specific details of the charges against Mansoureh Erfanian are not available. Following her arrest, she was transferred to “Vakilabad” Prison in Mashhad.
It is worth noting that the authorities, under the pretext of conducting a search, ransacked her home and confiscated her laptop, mobile phone, and computer.
Mansoureh Erfanian had been arrested once before on Monday, May 1st, International labors Day. She was ultimately released on temporary bail until the conclusion of the legal proceedings on Friday, May 5th, 2023.
