Imam Bakhsh Gorgich, a Baloch inmate from Zahedan previously condemned to death, was secretly executed at Torbat-e Haydarieh Central Prison, Khorasan-Razavi province.
According to a report obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Imam Bakhsh Gorgich's death sentence was carried out in secrecy at dawn on Sunday, October 8, 2023 in the Torbat- e Haydarieh Central Prison. He leaves behind a child and was denied a final visit with his family.
As reported by Haalvsh website, Gorgich had been apprehended a few years ago on charges related to drug crimes, subsequently facing a death sentence issued by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Imam Bakhsh Gorgich met his demise without the opportunity to exercise his individual right to bid farewell to his family.
The news of Gorgich's execution has remained unpublicized in government-controlled media outlets, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
