Hengaw’s explicit Report on the injury of Mohammad Khazri During the “Jin, Jian, Azadi” Movement

Mohammad Khazri, a young Kurdish man from Sardasht, one of the victims of the “Jin, Jian, Azadi”Movement, remains in a profoundly critical physical and mental condition a year after the incident. He has never received a complete medical treatment, and he’s under persistently intensifying pressures, both physically and mentally.
 

As reported by Hengaw, Mohammad Khazri, a 22-year-old residing in Mahabad, sustained severe injuries during the November protests in Mahabad while on leave from his mandatory military service at the Maku border. He was shot at close range by government forces on the streets near ‘Azad University,’ resulting in numerous pellet wounds in sensitive areas of his body, including his lungs and near his heart.
 

Mohammad Khazri, serving mandatory military service in the border patrol units stationed along the Maku border region, was severely wounded on the night of Saturday, the 29th of October 2022, on the street in Mahabad, in the vicinity of his parents residence during the nationwide protests, after facing direct gunfire from security forces at close range.
 

This injured protester, under pursuit by security forces with the coordination of his military base, has been treated with a very basic remedy and treatment at home without being taken to medical centers while evading arrest.
 

Following several raids by government forces on Mohammad Khazri's family residence, this young man eventually left Iran. Currently, after approximately a year and with over 500 pellet fragments gradually penetrating his body, he resides in one of Iran's neighboring countries.
 

Mohammad Khazri is currently in need of completing the surgical treatment for his deep wounds caused by the Islamic Republic of Iran's security forces' gunfire. Furthermore, he requires immediate psychological counseling and care.
