Amid the protests that unfolded in Zahedan, Sistan-Baluchistan province on Friday, October 20, a substantial number of individuals were apprehended. Presently, identities of 50 of them, including thirteen children and teenagers below the age of 18 have been confirmed.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Friday, October 20, 2023, fifty Baloch protesters, including thirteen children and teenagers, have had their identities verified. Among them are Mohammad Ismail Brahui, Aminullah Narui, Ramin Brahui, Amr Shahbakhsh, Farzad Shahozahi, Mobin Narui, Yaser Alizahi, Yasin Isa Zahirigi (all 17 years old), Amin Mohammad Zahi (14 years old), Puya Shahbakhsh (16 years old), Talha Shahnawazi (15 years old), Bilal Rakhshani (15 years old), and Mohammad Avis Naroi (16 years old), all of whom were arrested in Zahedan.

Simultaneously, there was a complete shutdown of internet connectivity. NetBlocks, an organization that monitors global internet access limitations, reported a systematic disruption of telecommunications in Sistan and Balouchistan, with a severe disruption of internet connectivity specifically in Zahedan.

Several detainees in Zahedan faced severe assaults and violence prior to their arrest, as reported by the Baloch Activist Campaign. These incidents have sparked significant concerns about the health and well-being of detainees within the security institutions' detention centers.

Meanwhile, in Zahedan, a total of 37 adult residents were arrested. Notable among them are Hedayatullah Qanbarzahi, a religious activist and teacher at Makki Mosque in Zahedan; Yaser Baloch, Mohammad Rakhshani, Amer Shirouzahi, and Aminullah Alizahi, who is 24 years old. The list continues with individuals such as Abdul Malik Kamal Khanzahi (aged 27), Krich Shahnavazi (aged 30), Amin Mingal Brahui, Abdullah Bilorani (aged 42), and Ahmed Kebdani. Further names on the list include Arslan Rakhshani, Arian Noti Zahi, Saeed Kebdani, Erfan Shahouzahi, Ehsan Karamzahi, and Abdul Rauf Jamalzahi, aged 23. Additionally, Khodiar Gangozahi (aged 30), Sedis Gomshadzahi (aged 19), and Saleh Rigi (aged 32) were taken into custody. Other individuals arrested are Taha Shahnavazi, Hamid Naroi (aged 25), Abdul Sharif Mahmoudzahi, Rahim Bakhsh Turkman (aged 47), Shahab Salarzahi, Naser Sarabandi (aged 22), Mehdi Magal Zahi, Parviz Bab Brahui, and Mohammad Amin Rigi (aged 20). The list extends to Khaneshini (aged 22), Hassan Balochzahi (aged 26), Mohammad Sharif Mahmoudzahi, Abdullah Gamshadzahi (aged 22), Sediq Rigi (aged 30), Masoud Qanbarzahi, Abdulshakar Kurd (aged 32), Naser Naroi, and Asif Qaljani.
