Iranian Intelligence abducts 16-year-old Kurdish child laborer Wiria Amiri in Sarpol-e Zahab

Wiria Amiri, a 16-year-old Kurdish child laborer from the city of Sarpol-e Zahab in Kermanshah (Kermashan) Province, was abducted by agents of the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Amiri was taken into custody on Monday, August 18, 2025, by Intelligence Office agents.

His family and relatives have made repeated efforts to obtain information about his condition, but these attempts have been unsuccessful, raising serious concern about his fate.

Hengaw has learned that his arrest is connected to religious activities. As of the time of this report, no verified information is available regarding his whereabouts or current condition.
