IRGC forces fatally killed a young trader from Saqqez

Vahid Qadri, a young trader hailing from Saqqez, lost his life due to a direct gunshot inflicted by IRGC intelligence forces along the Saqqez-Marivan road. The fatal shot struck this young man in the head.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the incident occurred at 3 a.m. on Sunday, October 22, 2023. Vahid Qadri, a 23-year-old resident of Saqqez, was pursued by IRGC intelligence forces while traveling from Saqqez to Marivan.  he was fatally shot by these forces near the village of Hasan Salaran.

The IRGC's intelligence department exerted pressure on the victim's family, urging them to mediate the circumstances of his death. They warned the family to attribute the cause of death to a car accident resulting from "driving under abnormal conditions."

Eyewitnesses at Vahid Qadri's funeral ceremony reported that his neck displayed severe damage from multiple gunshot wounds, with additional bullet marks found on his body.

After numerous hours of intimidation and warnings, the IRGC's intelligence department relinquished Vahid Qadri's body to his family at 4 p.m. on Monday. His funeral took place on the same day.
