Three inmates with a shared case, previously been sentenced to death for drug trafficking, weee executed in Bandar Abbas Central Prison. The identities of these inmates have been confirmed as Abdulghafoor Mahmoudi and Mohammad Hussein TashtZar, both with Baluch identity from Kahnuj, and Ali Payam, a resident of Bandar Abbas.
According to reports received by the Hengaw organization for Human Rights, on the morning of Sunday, the 19th of November 2023, the death sentence for Abdulghafoor Mahmoudi and Mohammad Hussein TashtZar, inmates from Khenouj in Kerman province, was carried out in Bandar Abbas Central Prison.
As reported by the news outlet "Hal Vash," along with these two Baloch inmates, the death sentence for Ali Payam, a 26-year-old, married residing in “22 Bahman” neighborhood in Bandar Abbas, was also executed in the same prison.
These inmates, jointly implicated in a case dating back four years on charges related to drug trafficking, were arrested and subsequently sentenced to death.
As of the preparation of this report, the execution of these inmates has not been officially announced in government-controlled media or media outlets closely associated with the judiciary.
