Reza Aghdasi, a labor activist and one of the fired workers of Iran Khodro Company, has been sentenced to four years and three months in prison by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Reza Aghdasi was recently sentenced to eight months in prison by the 26th branch of Tehran’s Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court on the charge of "propaganda activity against the regime" and three years and seven months on the charge of "assembly and collusion against the security of the country". In total, he was sentenced to four years and three months of penal servitude.

This disabled labor activist is under treatment due to movement and physical problems and is the father of two sick children.

On Tuesday, October 24, Reza Aghdasi was arrested and transferred to Evin prison after being summoned and referred to the 3rd branch of the Evin investigation office, while issuing a bail of 500 million tomans.

This labor activist was arrested last year by the security forces in his home along with his wife during the Jin, Jiyan, Azadi movement.
