Naser Rezaei, Vahid Chavaran, Mohammad Hasan Hasli, Azim Yadgari, Saadullah Ayeni, Hossein Bapirund, Farshad Ayeni, and Dr. Bakhtiar Mohammadzadeh, all Kurdish individuals hailing from Abdanan, Dehloran, and Darreh Shahr, have collectively received a 64-year prison sentence from the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Notably, three of them have also been subjected to exile in Zahedan, Mashhad, and Kerman prisons.

According to a report obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights on Monday, January 8, 2024, the Revolutionary Court of Ilam sentenced Naser Rezaei, Vahid Chavaran, and Mohammad Hasan Hasli to 12 years of imprisonment each. The trio, residents of Abdanan, were apprehended during the Jin, Jiyan, Azadi movement. In addition to their prison terms, they were exiled to Kerman, Zahedan, and Mashhad prisons.

Furthermore, Azim Yadgari and Saadullah Ayani, individuals from Dehloran, received sentences of 10 and 12 years in prison, respectively. Meanwhile, Hossein Bapirund and Farshad Ayeni, both residents of Dehloran, and Dr. Bakhtiar Mohammadzadeh from Darreh Shahr were each sentenced to two years in prison concurrently.

It is crucial to note that, with the exception of Vahid Chavaran, who was arrested while departing Iran in July of this year, the remaining seven individuals were detained by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran during the Jin, Jiyan, Azadi movement. In protest against their uncertain conditions, they initiated a hunger strike.

Presently, Vahid Chavaran, Nasser Rezaei, and Mohammad Hassan Hasili, all residents of Abdanan, are held in Ilam Central Prison, while the others are temporarily released on bail.
