An Arab political prisoner from Ahvaz, identified as Seyed Malek Mosavi, who has been detained since two years ago in the Sheyban Prison of Ahvaz, is sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the Arab political prisoner Seyed Malek Mosavi from Shavur district of Karkheh faced the death penalty by the revolutionary court of Ahvaz for "waging war against God.".
Details of the case remain undisclosed, but Abbas Khazraji, another individual implicated, received a 10-year prison sentence for the charge of “breach of public peace.”.
Seyed Malek Mosavi and Abbas Khazraji were taken into custody nearly two years ago by security institutions and were transported to the Sheyban prison of Ahvaz after several years of torturing.
These inmates have been deprived of lawyer access and their right to visit throughout all their detention periods.
