According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mohammad Khodakarmi, 32 years old, received an 8-year prison term from the Khorramabad Revolutionary Court, while his brother, Mehdi Khodakarmi, aged 42, was sentenced to 4 years.

According to reliable sources, the charges against the brothers include "membership in the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran" and "collusion against the country’s security."

It is important to note that Mohammad and Mehdi Khodakarmi have been denied fundamental rights, such as access to medical care, throughout their nearly year-long detention period.

These two brothers, subjected to severe physical abuse during their arrest, were apprehended by security forces in March 2023 and initially held in Evin prison before being transferred to Khorramabad Central Prison.
