Resht-Iran; university lecturer, has been detained for the enforcement of her one year imprisonment sentence.

Tina Deljoo, a university lecturer and Gilak activist previously sentenced to imprisonment by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has been detained for the execution of her imprisonment sentence and transferred to the central prison in Resht.

According to a report received by the Hengaw organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, January 29th, 2024, Tina Deljoo, a university lecturer and Ph.D. student in political science, after being summoned to the enforcement department of judiciary in Resht, was detained to serve her one year sentence and transferred to the central prison in Resht (Lakan Prison).

Tina Deljoo was sentenced to one year in prison for alleged charges of “propaganda against the islamic republi” by the 3rd branch of “revolutionary” court in November 2023.

It is important to note that Tina Deljoo, a lecturer at Azad University and a Gilak social and civil activist, was recently arrested in Resht by the Ministry of Intelligence and spent several days in Lakan Prison.
