During the past few days, at least five Kolbers from the cities of Baneh, Mahabad, and Saqqez have been wounded by direct fire from the Iranian border guards on the borders of Baneh.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Friday, February 9, 2024, Iranian border guards arrested a group of Kolbers severely tortured them, and then shot them from a few meters with shotguns. As a result of this shooting, two young Kolbers named Yousef Mahabadi, 26 years old, and Farzad (last name unknown), both from Mahabad, were seriously injured in the hand.

Also, on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, these forces shot at a number of Kolbers on the border of Hengejal-Baneh, and two Kolbers, 19-year-old Soran Rahimi from Saqqez and 35-year-old Ayub Mahmoudi from Baneh, were injured.

Following the continuous shootings,  on Monday, February 5, 2024, a 38-year-old Kolbar from Saqqez, named Nizam Teymuri, was seriously injured in the leg by direct shooting and was taken to medical centers for treatment.
