Two Kurdish Women Executed in Iran

HENGAW: Iranian authorities executed two Kurdish women on Tuesday in Urmia, Western Azarbaijan province.

According to the reports received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Araster Ranjbar, and Nazdar Vatankhah were handed death penalty for alleged murder.

They were on the death raw for the past 15 years while in prison.

Sources familiar with the case said Ranjbar was found guilty for the murder of her husband while Vatankhah received a death sentence for involvement in the same case.

Hengaw has learned that the execution was carried out on 23rd July at the central prison of Urmia.
