Kurdish Porter Killed by Iranian Border Guards

HENGAW — Another Kurdish porter was shot dead after Iranian border guards opened fire at a group of Porters on Tuesday (20 August 2019).

According to the information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mohammad Khomizadeh, 32, was killed by the Iranian forces in the border areas of Kelashin, near Oshnavie (Shno) district of Western Azerbaijan.

Khomizadeh was originally from Salmas district.

According to the statistics at Hengaw Data Center, at least five Kurdish porters have been killed by the Iranian border guards in the past 30 days alone.
