11 June 2021 00:44

In his latest report to the Human Rights Council, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres cites a 2020 report by the Hengaw Human Rights Organisation on the killing of Kolbars and the torture of prisoners in Iranian Kurdistan.

In his report, he emphasizes that despite the killing of at least 60  Kolbars in Iranian Kurdistan, no investigation has been carried out by the authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and this has ensured the continued impunity for the killing of Kolbars.

This report has been prepared for the 47th session of the United Nation Human Rights Council, which will be on June 21, 2021.

As welcoming the United Nations Secretary-General's report on the human rights situation in Iran, and Kurdistan in particular, Hengaw Human Rights Organization is willing to promote cooperation with specialized United Nations human rights agencies and organizations.
