Imposing a sentence of 13 years in prison for five citizens from Oshnavyeh

Hengaw: Five citizens from Oshnavyeh (Shno), who were detained by security forces in August last year, were sentenced to prison by the judiciary.

Hengaw: Five citizens from Oshnavyeh (Shno), who were detained by security forces in August last year, were sentenced to prison by the judiciary.

According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, five citizens of Oshnavyeh, called Rahman Asadi, Farhad Maroufi, Obaid Anvari, Rebvar Charakdari, and Jalal Qaderzadeh, were charged with "membership in the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran" by Branch 1 of the Oshnavyeh Revolutionary Court, headed by judge "Rezaei" were sentenced to a total of 13 years in prison.

According to the verdict issued to them officially on Saturday, March 26, 2022, Rahman Asadi was sentenced to 4 years in prison, Farhad Maroufi to 3 years in prison, Jalal Qaderzadeh to 3 years in prison, Obaid Anvari to 2 years in prison, and Rebvar Charkdari has been sentenced to 1 year imprisonment.

Rahman Asadi, Obaid Anvari, and Farhad Maroufi from Aliabad village, Jalal Qaderzadeh from Nalous, and Rebvar Charakdari from Oshnavyeh were arrested by the Oshnavyeh Intelligence Service on Monday, August 2, 2021, without presenting a warrant.

Rahman Asadi was released on bail after two months on October 3, and other four citizens were released temporarily on bail after three weeks until the court hearing.
