Hengaw: Nahid Makangar, a Kurdish citizen from the Kamyaran district of Kurdistan Province has been arrested after being summoned to the Iranian Intelligence Office in Kmayaran and transferred to Sanandaj.

According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Monday, July 6, 2021, Nahid Kamangar, from Kamyaran, was arrested after being summoned to the Iranian Intelligence Office in the city and transferred to the women's ward of the Sanandaj Correctional Center.

Nahid Kamangar is a student of Kurdish language and literature at Kurdistan University.

It is worth mentioning that Nahid Kamangar is the daughter of Hussein Kamangar, a Kurdish political prisoner who is currently serving a 15-year sentence in Sanandaj Central Prison.

Nahid Kamangar’s husband, Rashed Montazeri, was also arrested in January 2019 and released on bail after four months.
