Landmine explosion severely injures Kurdish Kolbar in Nowsud

Ahmad Rezai, a kolbar from Javanrud, sustained severe injuries following a landmine explosion in the mountainous border region of Nowsud, Kermanshah province.

According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Rezai was injured while transporting goods in the Nowsud border area. After the explosion, he was transported to Taleghani Hospital in Kermanshah, where medical efforts to save his foot were unsuccessful, necessitating an amputation.

Rezai, a married father of three, has since been discharged from the hospital after undergoing surgery and initial recovery. He is now recuperating at home.
