Kolbar loses limb in landmine explosion near Nowsud border

Ebrahim Abdollahi, a kolbar (cross-border porter) from Javanrud, was severely injured and lost part of his right ankle following a landmine explosion in the border area of Nowsud, Paveh County, in Kermanshah (Kermashan) Province.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Abdollahi, aged 40 and a resident of Bazan rural district in Javanrud, sustained the injury when a landmine detonated on November 10, 2025.

The explosion occurred in the “Tak-Derakht” border region of Nowsud. Abdollahi was transferred to a medical facility, where his condition has been reported as critical.
