Nowsud– Landmine explosion severely injures Kurdish Kolbar

A kolbar from Ravansar, identified only by his first name, Payam, sustained a severe injury resulting in the loss of function in his ankle after a landmine explosion in the border highlands of Nowsud.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the evening of Tuesday, August 12, 2025, Payam was seriously injured while carrying goods across the Nowsud border when a landmine detonated.

A source familiar with the case told Hengaw that following the explosion, Payam was first transferred to Qods Hospital in Paveh and later moved to Taleghani Hospital in Kermanshah due to the severity of his injuries.
