Kermanshah: Two family members arrested by security forces

Hamid Enayati, head of the Paveh Mountaineering Federation, and his brother Farid Enayati have been arrested by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Over ten days have passed, and their fate remains unknown.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Thursday, November 14, 2024, Hamid Enayati, 45, and Farid Enayati, 37, were arrested during a raid by the Intelligence Office forces at their residence in Kermanshah (Kermashan).

After their arrest, Hamid and Farid Enayati were transferred to an undisclosed location, and 12 days later, no information has been made available regarding their fate.

It is noteworthy that Farid Enayati had previously been arrested during the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement and was temporarily released from prison after posting bail.

So far, no detailed information has been made available about the reasons for their arrest or the charges against the two brothers.
