Death sentence of prisoner carried out in Jiroft Central Prison

The death sentence of a prisoner, identified as Nader Ghanizadeh, has been carried out in Jiroft Central Prison, located in Kerman Province. The prisoner had previously been convicted of “premeditated murder.”
According to a report obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in the early hours of Saturday, November 23, 2024, Nader Ghanizadeh, a resident of Anbarabad in Kerman Province, was hanged in Jiroft Central Prison.
The Baloch Activists Campaign reported that the prisoner had been arrested three years ago on charges of “premeditated murder” and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
As of the time of this report, no announcement regarding the execution has been made by state-affiliated media or judicial authorities.
