Kurdish environmental activist arrested by security forces in Sanandaj

Zhian Miri, an environmental activist and resident of Sanandaj (Sine), has been arrested by security forces of Islamic Republic of Iran. His whereabouts are unknown.
According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Miri, a resident of the village of Tangi Sar near Sanandaj, was arrested on Saturday, January 11, 2025, in the Masnaw neighborhood of Sanandaj. The arrest was carried out without the presentation of an arrest warrant.
