Four prisoners hanged in Gonabad Central Prison

Javad Ghaffari and Ahmad Ghafran, including two Baloch individuals, Abdollah Naroui and Hossein Salarzehi, were executed in Gonabad Central Prison, Razavi Khorasan Province. All four had been convicted of drug-related offenses.

According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Death sentences of Abdollah Naroui, 35 years old, a father of two, from Zahedan, Hossein Salarzehi, 45 years old, a father of three, also from Zahedan, Javad Ghaffari, 35 years old, from Mashhad, Ahmad Ghafran, 43 years old, from Birjand were carried out at early hours of Thursday, December 26, 2024 

Haalvsh News Network reported that, Abdollah Naroui had been arrested for four years, while Ahmad Ghafran and Javad Ghaffari had been in custody for five years, and Hossein Salarzehi for six years. All four were ultimately sentenced to death for drug-related charges.

As of the time of this report, the executions have not been officially announced by state media or judiciary-affiliated outlets.
