Parviz Sarlak, Ghasem Azizi, and Davood Amani in Aligudarz, executed in Birjand, and Zanjan prisons

The death sentences of three prisoners—Parviz Sarlak, Ghasem Azizi, and Davood Amani— were carried out in separate prisons across the Iran. The individuals were convicted on charges related to drug offenses and premeditated murder.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Davood Amani was executed on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Zanjan Central Prison following his conviction on drug-related charges. On the same day, Parviz Sarlak, a 30-year-old Lor prisoner from Aligudarz, was executed at Aligudarz Central Prison after four years of detention on premeditated murder charges.
Earlier in the week, on Monday, July 14, 2025, Ghasem Azizi, a Baloch prisoner, was executed at Birjand Central Prison in South Khorasan Province. He had also been convicted on drug-related charges.
None of the executions have been officially announced by state media or judiciary-affiliated outlets.
