Farzaneh Mohammadi Parsa arrested by security forces, her whereabouts unknown

Farzaneh Mohammadi Parsa, a dentist and Tehran resident originally from Abadan, has been arrested by security forces of Islamic Republic of Iran for the past nine days.
According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Farzaneh was arrested on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, during a raid on her home in Tehran.
Security forces conducted the arrest without presenting a search warrant and used physical violence during the process. She has also been denied the right to contact her family since being taken into custody.
Despite repeated efforts by her family and relatives, no updates regarding her status or location have been provided.
Farzaneh had previously been arrested and threatened by security forces for opposing mandatory hijab laws and for publishing posts advocating the boycott of Iran’s presidential elections. At the time, she was released after signing a pledge.
As of this report, no details have been disclosed about the reasons for her detention, the charges against her, or her current condition and location.
