Prisoner hanged in Ahvaz Central Prison

Ali Saadi, a 30-year-old Arab prisoner from Susangerd in Khuzestan Province, was executed in the Central Prison, Ahvaz, after spending a decade in detention. Saadi had been convicted of premeditated murder.
According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution was carried out at dawn on Monday, January 6, 2025.
Ali Saadi was arrested 10 years ago following a group altercation that resulted in a fatality and was subsequently sentenced to death. Despite his lengthy imprisonment, no information about the details of his case has been publicly disclosed.
