Mohammad Abiyat executed at Sepidar Prison in Ahvaz

Iranian authorities have executed Mohammad Abiyat, a 27-year-old Arab man from Ahvaz who had been sentenced to death on a charge of “premeditated murder.” The execution was carried out at Sepidar Prison in Ahvaz.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Abiyat's death sentence was carried out in the early hours of Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Sepidar Prison.
Sources familiar with the case told Hengaw that Abiyat was arrested three years ago following a dispute that resulted in the death of another individual. He was subsequently convicted of murder and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
Iranian state media and official sources affiliated with the judiciary have not reported the execution of Mohammad Abiyat.
