Mahsa Farhadi, an arrested Kurdish citizen living in Tehran, was sentenced to 2 years in prison on charges of "gathering and collusion with the intention of disrupting national security."

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, this 21-year-old citizen from Sanandaj was sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment by the 2nd branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Shahriar County, Tehran.

According to what Hengaw has received, despite providing bail and presenting it to the court, the judge of the case refused to accept it and then mentioned in the issued document that the relatives of this citizen did not deposit bail.

Mahsa Farhadi, who worked at a beauty service center in the Andisheh Town of Tehran, was arrested by government forces on November 15, 2022, after leaving her workplace due to what was called "not wearing a headscarf."

According to reliable sources, this person was beaten after being taken into custody, and after two days of follow-up and referring to the court and government institutions, the family was informed that she was arrested and transferred to Qarchak prison.
