Qobad Yari, a Kurdish civil activist and head of the village council of Taj Abad in Bahar County, Hamedan, was sentenced to 91 days in prison by the criminal court of this city.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Branch 101 of the Second Criminal Court of Bahar City, headed by Judge Morteza Gholami Jalal, Qobad Yari was sentenced to 91 days in prison for the charge of "propaganda against the regime in favor of opposing and separatist groups."

According to the court's decision, Mr. Yari has been suspended for one year, during which he must read the government's ideological books and, after presenting a conference about the content, get the approval of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards of Bahar City.

Qobad Yari, a Kurdish citizen from Bahar County, was arrested by IRGC intelligence in November 2022 and released on bail after completing the interrogation process. This citizen's mobile phone was also confiscated for 82 days.
