Muhieddin Ebrahimi, a political prisoner sentenced to death, who was transferred from the political and religious prisoners' ward of Urmia's central prison to solitary confinement of this prison yesterday, had his last meeting with his family today.
 
According to the report received by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, the family of Muhieddin Ebrahimi, a political prisoner from Oshnavyeh sentenced to death, had his last meeting with his family in Urmia prison on Thursday, March 16, 2023, and the prison officials announced that his sentence would be executed soon.

Muhieddin Ebrahimi was called to the security office yesterday under the pretext of being sent to the court, and from there he was transferred to solitary confinement at Urmia Central Prison to execute the sentence.
 
Since Muhieddin Ebrahimi's death sentence has been confirmed, the danger of executing this political prisoner threatens. While expressing concern, Hengaw wants all human rights institutions to do their best to prevent the execution of this political prisoner.

Muhieddin Ebrahimi, 43 and from the village of "Alkawi" in Oshnavyeh, was shot by the forces stationed at "Bemazarata" in Oshnavyeh on Saturday, November 4, 2017, while he was kolbaring. He was seriously injured and arrested there.

This citizen from Oshnavyeh was sentenced to death by branch 2 of the Urmia Revolutionary Court on August 2018 on the charge of "collaboration and membership in the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran".

Muhieddin Ebrahimi was sentenced to death for the second time on Saturday, January 18, 2020, by branch 2 of the Revolutionary Court of Urmia, headed by Judge Sheikhlo, on charges of "fighting against the regime and membership in the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran".
 
Muhieddin Ebrahimi, who is married and has a disabled child, was arrested by the security forces in 2010 and imprisoned for 14 months on the charge of being a member of the Democratic Party.
